Wrist wraps and compression supports and are used for strains, sprains, fractures, post-fractures, and post-casting to provide temporary immobilization of the wrist, hand and forearm and provide compression. Wrist supports are also used in the management of tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Immobilization is one of the treatments for this condition and splinting to prevent flexion of the wrist for a period of time helps lessen symptoms.
